5 Days until Lily is 1!!

Only 5 more days until Lily is the big 1!!! I can't even believe it! We had a great weekend with friends. My dad took some good pictures of Lily's favorite activities that she likes to do around our house. Friday was guys night out, however I decided to go in order to drive them home. It was fun to hang out with Mike and Jarrad who we don't see all the time and of course the other guys Moss, Denis and Corey. Below are a few pictures of night out. I need to get my mind prepared for this week in order to figure out what I need to get ready for the big party this weekend! If you are planning to come, please come hungry and plan to hang out for as long as you want! We are looking forward to seeing family and friends to celebrate Lily's first year!

Happy Halloween!!!

Lily experienced her first Halloween yesterday and I think she loved the trick or treaters that came by for candy! We decided that she was a little too young and it was a little too cold to go walking around the neighborhood, so next year our plan will be to walk around and trick or treat next year! There were some really great costumes, although I didn't see any Purdue cheerleaders!! I wished that I could have been more excited for her to wear it yesterday, but after the poor performance by the Boilers I was a little embarassed that was what we had for her to wear for Halloween. She rocked it and made it look fantastic! She is my future gymnast and cheerleader, well we will see! :)

Eating with DaDa & Cute picture of Lily

Cute picture of Lily eating with DaDa at the table like a big girl. Thought we would try it without the tray for just a snack time, but figured out quickly she likes to move around to much to do this for a regular meal.

A beautiful Sunday!

What a beautiful day on a Sunday in Indiana. This is what we love about fall. We definitely deserved it after a few rough weeks of cold weather. Today couldn't have been a better day. We got a few really good pictures of Lily in her Colts cheerleading outfit and a few good family pictures. She experienced her first time playing in the leaves. Thank goodness my mom and Jay have plenty of them b/c we have NONE at our new house! She had a great time playing in the leaves yesterday and today! Another busy week ahead of us, with lots of planning for an upcoming work conference on Friday and still more planning and preparing for Lily's birthday! I really need to get busy!

ACS - Discovery Ball

Ben and I were invited by our financial guy (Ben's college friend) Joe Nierman to the American Cancer Society Discovery Ball on Saturday evening. It was a black tie event, so we got to get all dolled up. We went to Harry and Izzy's before for a nice dinner and then went to the after party and danced and had a great time! It was a great event! They put a lot of detail into it and it was a great success for the first year. Here are a few pictures below from our event.

Payless Shoes

Cousin Claire had to get dress shoes for school the other night so we had to make a stop at Payless Shoes. Lily already is loving shoes! Claire and her were trying on all kinds of shoes. Here is a cute picture of Claire picking out a pair of shoes for Lily to try on.

All bundled up!

Although she wasn't feeling that great we still decided to take her to Uncle Timmy's football game. We bundled her up with her Cubs jump suit, socks, shoes, Columbia vest, Columbia jacket, gloves, hat and her blanky. She seemed to stay pretty warm except for her hands b/c she wouldn't keep her gloves on. She just looked so cute! I love her hat that I got last year on sale at The Children's Place. Here are some cute pictuers of her!

This week!!

I am trying to think...this week was a little rough for Lily and I. We both have a little bit of the virus that is going around, but hopefully getting better soon. We finally took Lil' into the doctor on Thursday because her cough was not getting any better. She still has a cough, but will hopefully get over it soon! However, going to the doctor, we actually got her weight this month. She weighed in at 20lbs. 9oz, so she has definitely slowed down in the weight category in the past couple of months, but I think that is due to her moving around so much and being under the weather. This week is another normal week, so hopefully we can get her feeling back to normal again! Have a great week!

Lily - 11 months!

Wow!! I cannot believe that Lily will be a year old in month!! This past year has just flown by. I know that it was yesterday (her 11 month birthday), but she was not in the mood to take pictures yesterday, so I resorted to doing it today. What is new with Lily?? Well right now she has a little bit of a cold, but she is learning new things everyday. I keep thinking she is going to start walking, but think now it is going to be after she turns 1. She loves to talk and make noise and of course dance! She is always doing something more exciting everyday. I think she is definitely paying attention to more details as just tonight when I was holding her she was so interested in my mouth (teeth, lips and tongue). I have a lot to do in the next month, so with that in mind enjoy the pictures below so I can get back to figuring out what all I have to do!! Enjoy!

Back to normal life!

After a couple of busy weekends, I think we finally got back to normal life this week or as much as we could after this weekend. This week is also pretty uneventful which is soooo nice!! Here are a few pictures and one video from this past week! Hope everyone has a great week!

Luke and Lily

Lily finally got to meet Luke, her cousin, who is 1 1/2 weeks younger than her. They spent a lot of time together this weekend and I heard they had a blast. I was so glad that I got to see them together today before Mindy, Brendon and Luke had to go back to Tennessee. Hopefully we will see them soon. Here is a cute picture I captured of them.

Purdue Homecoming 2009

We have had a couple of great weekends with friends. This weeked we traveled to Purdue for my alumni weeekend. We had a great time with friends. Friday night we all met with over 100 alumni cheerleaders at a reception and then went out to the piano bar and had a great time. We got up early on Saturday morning to get a tailgate spot. Once we got all set up we headed over to get together with alumni again to act like we were still in the shape we were in 5 years ago. We didn't do too bad, but I was definitely a little sore today from the little bit of stunting that we did do. After our warm up we went out to the field and did all of the pre-game festivities and then went back and tailgated ALL day! It was fun, but exhausting. I am so lucky to have such great friends from Purdue. Can't wait to do again 2 years from now! Here are some of the pictures from the weekend.

Viva Las Vegas

Ben and I had a great time with all of my Purdue cheerleading friends last weekend in Vegas. Thank goodness we had today off work or I probably would not have survived since we got back about midnight last night. We had a lot of fun going out with friends ever night and then had A LOT of fun at my friends Zac and Steph's wedding. As you will notice I have NO pictures from the wedding reception (except a few before hand) because my camera battery died. I have many pictures on Jenny's camera that she will hopefully be sharing with me soon. We had a great time, but were definitely ready to come home. Our hotel was wonderful and the drinks were fantastic! It was however VERY HOT! So when we got back last night, it seems VERY COLD here in Indiana. Here are a few pictures below. We have a busy week of work ahead and then another fun weekend with friends for the Purdue Homecoming/Alumni weekend! Can't wait to see all my friends from Purdue again! Maybe we might win this weekend??!!

Fun with Grandparents

While mom and dad were away in Vegas, Lily was having a great time playing with grandparents back home. I think she had a fantastic time and never realized that we were gone. We missed her though! Here are a few pictures that Papaw and Grandma Moj took of her.

Busy week

We have been so busy lately. It has been just crazy with getting garage sale stuff ready, tailgating, birthdays and then pair that with an exciting upcoming week! Since we were so busy I was unable to get any pictures this past week of Lily. She went a week ago with Great Grandma and Grandpa Tipton to the zoo and from what they said, she loved every minute. She had a rough day at Melissa's on Thursday, but then picked back up and had a great day on Friday. Saturday we tailgated for the first home game at the new Marian University football stadium. It was a good time, but still weird for me after cheering for a Big Ten school. We didn't get any pictures from our fun times at Marian, so hopefully the next time we will remember to take pictures. Today was a fun day having family over for August and September birthdays. Hard to believe I am 27 and that I don't even care about my birthday. I think knowing that we will be in Vegas on Wednesday and having a daughter turning 1 in less than 2 months it is hard to think about yourself. So we have a busy couple of days and then Ben and I (adults ONLY!!) will be heading to Vegas on Wednesday afternoon. Lily will be staying with grandparents all weekend and I am sure will have a fantastic time, but we will definitely miss her while we are gone! However, I am SUPER excited to see all of my cheerleading friends in Vegas. It is going to be a great time! Hope everyone has a great week! I am sure I will be posting some good pictures from our Vegas trip next week sometime!

Lily - 10 months!

Wow! Is Lily really 10 months???!!! Where did this past month go? Oh wait, we were on vacation, packing and then moving into a new house. That is where this past month went. It is hard to believe she is going to be the big ONE in 2 months! I have a lot to do in the next couple of months and not much time because we have a busy next month. She is getting so big and changes ever week. She is getting two teeth on the top now and is starting to walk around things a lot more. I think she will be walking before her 1st birthday. She is a pretty good natured kid, loves to be busy and wants to ALWAYS know what's going on. We love her to death, even though she can be a T-U-R-D sometimes! Someday she is going to figure out what we are saying when we call her a T-U-R-D when she is acting up. I of course, well we did have a busy day, forgot to measure and weigh her today, so hopefully I will remember to do that sometime this week! Here are a few of the good ones I took, but also a slideshow of the rest of the ones I was able to get. I actually took these Saturday b/c I knew I wouldn't have time to do it today. Enjoy!

GO COLTS!!

Ben and I were lucky enough to be able to split season tickets with one of his co-worker's who has FANTASTIC tickets in the lower level on the north endzone. We got today's opening home regular season game and saw some great action! The only thing that sucks is that the seats, if the game starts at 1pm, are in the sun the ENTIRE game, therefore we roasted the whole time. It was hard to complain because they are such great tickets, but man it was HOT today! They pulled off the win and we had a good time! Here are a few pictures!

Pictures from this past week

Here are a few pictures below from this past week. Some from Melissa's, others from our fun watching Zanno Doo sing and play at Metropolis and the other's are from today at the Baute house. She just cracks us up! She is in love with my sunglasses and will wear them for a split second and thinks it is funny. However, she then proceeds to throw them on the ground and that is why Mommy buys $5 sunglasses! No need to see clearly out of them, right??!!

Fun with the Babysitter

Lily has been having a blast at her new sitter (Melissa). Melissa's son is home with her the most, Ryan, but she has two other daughters Mady and Lauren who LOVE Lily, but don't always get to see her, but treat her like she is their sister when she is around. It is just the cutest thing in the world. We are just so blessed to have a great sitter! Here are some pictures Melissa took of her this week. The first two are just her playing at their house and then the other two are from when they went to see the Disney Train in Bargarsville, IN. She is a traveling baby! :)

Walking with Assistance

Lily just started using her walking toy today for the first time. She was CRUISIN'!! She will be on it by herself before we know it. I started walking at 10 months and Ben at about 1 year, so really it could be any day now. Here is a video of her walking with her toy.
